APPROVED RACING PLATES FOR AUSTRALIAN THOROUGHBREDS Recentley the race plate rules have been reviewed. The standard race plate and non standard race plate have been merged into one catagory , they are now classed as APPROVED RACE PLATES , Bar plates ,glue on shoes , synthetic hoof filler ,concussion plates and racing tips must still be notified to stewards
